The Bennetts British Superbike Championship makes the first of this year’s two visits to Donington Park next weekend (17-19 May), with just 10 points covering the top four riders in the early standings.

A triple victory at Oulton Park for Hager PBM Ducati’s Glenn Irwin means last year’s runner-up leads the way after the first five races of the season, though he’s just six points clear of OMG GRILLA Yamaha Racing’s Ryan Vickers, who took a double win of his own at the Circuito de Navarra season opener.

Just a point further back is Oxford Products Racing Ducati’s Christian Iddon, who claimed three podiums at Oulton Park while former Moto3 champion Danny Kent has powered his McAMS Racing Yamaha into the top four thanks to two podiums of his own.

Donington local Kyle Ryde is always a man out to impress at his home venue, he has four wins to his name at the venue across the past two seasons. The OMG GRILLA Yamaha contender should be right up there again.

Reigning champion Tommy Bridewell overcame a difficult round at Navarra by returning to form at Oulton Park, and earned his first podium for Honda Racing UK as a result. With home hero Leon Haslam (ROKiT Haslam Racing BMW Motorrad) and fellow champion Josh Brookes (FHO Racing BMW Motorrad) also on the grid, in addition to the country’s top two wheel talents.

Three Bennetts BSB races will ensure plenty of drama around the Grand Prix circuit, and there’s a full support cast too including the Quattro Group British Supersport/GP2, R&G British Talent Cup, Tracker Kawasaki British Superteen, Pirelli National Superstock, Pirelli National Sportbike, and Hoosier British Sidecars categories.

In addition to the packed out on track schedule, fans can meet the stars of the show thanks to an open paddock plus the free of charge pit walk and autograph session during the Sunday lunch break.

Furthermore, big screens will be located in the key spectator areas on the main raceday, ensuring spectators will miss none of the action, and there’s live music in Garage 39 on Friday and Saturday evenings too.

Tickets are available in advance until 4pm on Wednesday 15 May, with main raceday admission available at £35 for adults, with additional savings for teenagers aged 13-15 and free entry all weekend for children under-13. For more information and to book, click here.
